KINKY is a metaphorical double entendre. Firstly, this work highlights the sensuality of womanhood and my belief in the objective of moving toward the perception of women as multi-faceted “whole beings”.
Part of what I stand for currently, is the importance of dissolving the stark separation between women whom are perceived as “intelligent”, “capable”, “classy” and “quality” from women whom are viewed as (or actually are) ” overtly sexy”, “feminine”, “sensual” and yes, sometimes, down right KINKY.
Secondly, is my observation that Kinky haired (particularly 4C textured) females l, historically (with the exception of @lupitanyongo in Black Panther
have not often been portrayed as sensual. Not often highlighted as sexy/sexual .(Strong, beautiful, arterial, stunning, edgy…”Quality” women…YES!)
!)… but not often as the DELICATE, soft and feminine object of a man’s love, affection and desire.
