Hazy ascension
Hazy Ascension is a Visual Metephor for the infancy stages of the journey traveled by many; Particularly but not specifically; An Artist uncovering and developing his or her vison.
The first Collection out of the Haus Of YBA; Hazy Ascension; which in translation can be read as Grayscale; was developed in my last semester in the Fashion Design program at FIT. Hazy Ascension (Grayscale ) is comprised of the mixing and manipulation of Black and White fabrications and trim to unveil the spectrum of stages that are neither black nor white, but in a gray area similar to that between uncertainamty and clarity

Blooming Clitoria in the shade
This mini Collection is entitled ” Blooming Clitoria in the Shade” I was inspired by the contrast between female sexual desire and the high value; and in some cases, expectation of purity and modesty among women. The pieces were designed and photographed to allude to an internal conflict between mind and body, Poise and passion, desire and decision. The Texture of the fabrications, color story of the collection and azul lighting of the images are a direct reinterpretation of the “Clitoria” Flower; which was the starting point of this collection. – YaaSerwaah Akuoku
